legislature also banned vaccine mandates and stripped governor's emergency powers
The Kentucky legislature has struck down Governor Andy Beshear's school mask mandate executive order. The legislature passed a bill to prohibit that mandate, which the governor vetoed. Both houses of the state legislature have now overridden that veto, so the bill banning school mask mandates is now law. The legislature has also banned vaccine mandates in the state and stripped the governor of much of his previous emergency powers.
