Sweden's herd immunity response to Covid beats Fauci / CDC response | Eastern North Carolina Now

When Covid hit, Sweden's top epidemiologists stuck with the traditional western response toward pandemics, which was to use a very light touch on government restrictions and depend on herd immunity.  Most western countries, however, followed the authoritarian Red Chinese model of a heavy government hand of massive restrictions.  Now the data is showing that the Swedes got it right, and Fauci, the CDC, and others who went in for heavy government mandates got it wrong.

Sweden never did lockdowns or mask mandates or vaccine passports or vaccine mandates or school closures or any of the other heavy handed tactics that many western countries have imposed on their people.  Sweden's deaths per 100,000 for the course of the pandemic are 40th in the world, much better than countries that did extensive lockdowns and other repressive measures like the US, UK, Israel,, France, Italy, Spain, or Australia.  And Sweden is seeing little of the resurgence that has hit many other countries recently from the Delta variant.

Compared to Isreal, the most highly vaccinated country in the world and one that has imposed all of the heavy handed mandates and lockdowns, here is how Sweden and Israel compare on recent virus deaths
