Democrat President Joe Biden's administration is reportedly considering suggesting to Ukraine that it give up part of its country to Russia in an effort to appease the Russians.

"Administration officials have suggested that the U.S. will press Ukraine to formally cede a measure of autonomy within its eastern Donbas region, which is now under de facto control by Russia-backed separatists who rose up against Kyiv in 2014," the Associated Press reported. "Decentralization of Ukraine and a 'special status' for Donbas were laid out in an ambiguous, European-brokered peace deal in 2015, but it has never taken hold."

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed that the report was not accurate. Psaki has a history of making blatantly false statements as press secretary.

The report comes as Russia is reportedly preparing to launch a massive invasion into Ukraine in the immediate future with up to 175,000 troops, armor, and artillery as experts warn that Russia is seeking to take advantage of "weakness" from Biden.

"The Kremlin has been moving troops toward the border with Ukraine while demanding Washington guarantee that Ukraine will not join NATO and that the alliance will refrain from certain military activities in and around Ukrainian territory," The Washington Post reported. "While Ukrainian assessments have said Russia has approximately 94,000 troops near the border, the U.S. map puts the number at 70,000 - but it predicts a buildup to as many as 175,000 and describes extensive movement of battalion tactical groups to and from the border 'to obfuscate intentions and to create uncertainty.'"

The build-up by Russia comes as it demands that the U.S. guarantees that Ukraine will not join NATO and that NATO will not interfere in military activities around Ukraine.

When asked if Ukraine told the Biden Administration that they did not have sufficient military resources to fight back a Russian invasion, Psaki responded, "Again, I'm not going to get into private diplomatic conversations, but I will convey to you - and what - what the President would convey, has conveyed, I'm sure is conveying directly to President Zelensky: Our objective is to make clear the significant and severe economic consequences if Russia were to invade Ukraine, not just from us, but from the global community."

When asked about Russian President Vladimir Putin's next move, Psaki responded that "the Russians are known for their rhetorical escalations, as they are also known for their ways of providing misinformation around the world and within eastern flank countries."

Biden said this week that he was working to address Russia's concerns about NATO and he was trying to find "any accommodations" he can for them to avoid conflict, despite the fact that they are an enemy of the Western world.

"We hope by Friday we're going to be able to say and announce to you that we're having meetings at a higher level, not just with us but with at least four of our major NATO Allies and Russia to discuss the future of Russia's concerns relative to NATO writ large and whether or not we can work out any accommodations as it relates to bringing down the temperature along the eastern front," Biden said.

Biden said that he would not put U.S. troops on the ground in Ukraine to stop a Russian invasion of the country, saying, "that is not on the table."
