Ted Budd sponsors bill to reverse Biden oil policies | Eastern NC Now

would prohibit tapping strategic reserve until attacks stop on oil development

ENCNow

Congressmen Ted Budd (R-NC) and Stephanie Bice (R-OK) have introduced a bill to prohibit the government from tapping the strategic petroleum reserve until Biden reverses his executive orders that prohibit petroleum development on federal land.  Biden's oil policies have raised the price of gasoline to American consumers and contributed substantially to the inflation that is ravaging the country.

While GOP bills stand little chance of actually becoming law, forcing the Democrats to have to vote on issues like this keeps the public focused on what and where the problem lies.  If the bill is bottled up in committee as is likely, it will probably be offered on the floor in the form of an amendment to another bill to force the Democrats to vote on it.

Ted Budd is doing exactly what Republicans ought to be doing. Put up legislation in Congress that makes the Democrats there own Biden's failing policies. Put the Congressional Democrats fingerprints on them, too. Quite the opposite of McConnell, Burr, and Tillis who are caving in and helping Biden pass his radical agenda. Ted Budd is who NC needs as our new US Senator to replace liberal Richard Burr.
