Michael Ray Clark | Eastern NC Now

    Michael Ray Clark, age 74, a known resident of Gilead Shores, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

    Mike was born September 1st, 1947 to the late Margaret and Alonzo Clark of Possum Track, Chocowinity, NC.

    He is survived by his wife Deborah Clark of 50 years; two daughters, Donna Clark and April Batchelor; one son, Franklin Bryant; four granddaughters, Kayle Radcliff, Victoria Johnson, Jackie Bryant, and Kaitlyn Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Colt and Olivia Johnson; twin sister, Linda Williams; and brothers, Osborne, David, Clifton, Tommy, and Terry.

    Mike was preceded in death by his father, mother, and eldest brother, Dumay Clark.

    Mike loved life and lived every day to the fullest. He enjoyed many hobbies such as carpentry, working on and showing his prized tractors, and being with his family. In his early years, Mike served with N.C. National Guard for 9 years of service where he worked as military police and retired as a Sargent E6. He worked many jobs and made many friends along the way.

    As most know, Mike could light up a room with laughter and never met a stranger. He did many stand-up comedy shows around town and enjoyed the happiness he brought to people by telling old stories and jokes. He will truly be missed by many.
