The supply chain crisis got a lot worse with an incredibly stupid joint move by Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau to require cross border truckers to show proof of Covid vaccination, which a large number of them simply refuse to do. This unforced error by Biden and Trudeau will take 20,000 to 30,000 cross border truckers off the road. Canada is the fourth largest source of imports into the US, and the largest recipient of American exports. 70% of cross border trade moves by truck.

The truckers are not taking this lying down. Already groups of them have been blocking highways connecting the US and Canada. An even bigger push is underway to send a massive convoy of thousands of trucks from all over Canada into the Canadian capital of Ottawa and confront Trudeau personally. The group calls itself Truckers for Freedom.

Individual Canadians have rallied to the cause, raising over $4.5 million through a GoFundMe page for Truckers of Freedom.
