UPDATE: After a brutal police crackdown in which 120 Freedom Convoy protesters were arrested for "trespassing"  including one woman who was dragged by her hair naked by police, and tents were torn down by police, the protest against government overreach has grown in size and is expected to grow more.  Average citizens are NOT backing down in the face of heavy handed government repression.  Former center-right Prime Minister Winston Peters has tweeted out support for the Freedom Convoy protests and criticized heavy handed government repression.
