Judy Ann Harris | Eastern NC Now

    Judy Ann, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2022 at Sacred Ground Hospice House in Knoxville, TN. Judy was a lifelong resident of Beaufort County, a graduate of Bath High School and Beaufort County Technical Institute. Judy worked over 40 years as a licensed Practical Nurse and retired from River Trace Nursing Center. She was a U.S. Army Veteran having worked at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. during the Vietnam conflict.

    Judy was predeceased by her parents Julius and Blanche Tetterton; her husband Preston Harris and her brother Julius (Buster) Tetterton, Jr. She leaves behind to grieve her son, Michael R. Buck and special friend Wendy Boran of Ooltewah, TN; sister and brother in-law, Louise and Billy Barnes of Knoxville, TN; brother and sister in-law, Bobby and Leigh Tetterton of Washington, NC; granddaughters, Michaela Buck of Grimesland, NC and Emma Buck of Plymouth, NC; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

    A celebration of Judy's life will be held 3:00 pm, March 26, 2022 at Joseph B. Paul, Jr. Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the service hour.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reid Sasnett Memorial Scholarship Fund, BCCC, c/o Sheri Powell, 5337 Hwy 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
