EU to send Ukraine fighter jets as anti-war protests swell in Russia | Eastern North Carolina Now

While Belarus is threatening to send troops to help Russia, the European Union has announced that it will step up its arms supply to Ukraine's defense, for the first time also promising to send them fighter jets.   The Chechen strongman has pledged to send more of his barbaric Muslim warriors to Ukraine, but the Ukrainian National Guard responded by saying they would grease their bullets with pig fat wherever the Chechens appeared.  In the Muslim religion that pig fat is supposed to send any Muslim killed with one to the Muslim version of hell.  Anti-war protests are sweeping Russia daily in over 40 cities, in spite of the fact that over 5,000 people have already been arrested for participating in them.  Two billionaire Russian oligarchs have even come forward and demanded peace.  Ukrainians living abroad including a former Miss Ukraine (her photo is below) who is a marketing exec in Turkey, have returned home to take up arms against the Russian invaders.

A unit of 60 British volunteers, mostly elite former SAS commandos is enroute to Ukraine to assist in its defense as long lines have formed to pick up AK-47s for defense of the country. Another international assistance force consisting of 6 US special ops veterans, 2 retired army officers, and a British and a German military veteran are already at the Polish border ready to cross to Ukraine and assist in its defense.  Russia has carpet bombed the city of Kharkiv near the Russian border, and killed dozens of civilians and wounded hundreds when it hit a shopping mall.  Russian military losses stand at 5,300 soldiers killed and 29 planes, 29 helicopters, and 151 tanks.

On the economic front, bank runs in Russia have almost eliminated the availibility of foreign currency and one bank that still had it was charging 171 rubles per dollar.  It had been around 50 before the war.  Russia raised its interest rate to 20% to try to save its currency and shut down trading on the Moscow stock exchange.  Russian civil aircraft have been banned from the skies in Europe.

That former Miss Ukraine makes quite a recruiting poster. No wonder those British ex-SAS commandos are on the way to help Ukraine!
