Ronald Francis Shea | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Ronald Francis Shea, age 80, a resident of Washington died Monday March 21, 2022, at his home.

    A private memorial service will be held later.

    Mr. Shea was born in Allentown, PA on May 7, 1941, son of the late Donald Vincent Shea and the late Irene Kresge Shea. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was an electrician in the industrial construction field which afforded him to become a member of I.B.E.W., International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. On July 18, 1961, he married the former Shirley Jean Barnes who preceded him in death on April 12, 2018. On November 11, 2018, he married Brenda Faye May who survives. He was a member of Washington Moose Lodge #1800 and loved to fish.

    Surviving along with his wife Brenda of Wilson are his children: Jimmy Shea (Wendy), Chuck Shea, and Tommy Shea (Jennifer) all of Washington; step- daughters: Lynn Baker (Daren) and Lisa Carraway (Jeff) both of Wilson; a sister: Mary Ellen Orch of Quakertown, PA; three grandchildren: Michael Yow, Heather Shea Smith (Keaton), and Kelly Shea; two great grandchildren: Callie Yow and Riley Yow; a step-grandchild: Heather Olmos; and five step-great grandchildren. Mr. Shea was predeceased along with his first wife Shirley Shea by a step-grandchild: Philip Pierce, two sisters, and five brothers.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Washington Moose Lodge #1800, 322 Flanders Filter Road, Washington, NC 27889.
