Zelensky calls for Russia to be removed from UN Security Council

In a speech by video to the UN General Assembly, Ukraine President Zelensky called for Russia to be removed from its permanent seat on the UN Security Council. That seat gives it a veto over any actions by the Security Council. Zelensky went further and said the UN should be dissolved if it failed to remove Russia.

The UN's predecessor, the League of Nations, broke up from its failure to do anything about Italy's invasion and attrocities in Ethiopia.

The founding documents of the UN gave one of the permanent seats on the Security Council to the USSR, but when the USSR broke up, there was no formal ruling to recognize Russia as holding the USSR seat. Russia just assumed it, and now Zelensky is challenging Russia's hold on that seat.

Separately, the US is seeking Russia's removal from the UN's human rights body.

''Act immediately or dissolve yourself altogether" is what Zelensky told the UN on removing Russia from its permanent seat on the UN security counsel. I am pulling for option two. The UN pushes fake agendas like global warming to try to increase its power while sweeping a real crisis like the Russian invasion of Ukraine under the rug. Heck, UN staff were even directed not to call it a "war" or an "invasion". Outright dissolution of the phony baloney UN is the best option. The UN is not only worthless, but it is harmful.
