Tiger Woods came within inches of making a hole in one on Thursday as he competed in the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia.

Woods made the incredible shot on Augusta National Golf Club's sixth hole, which is a par-3. After making a birdie on the hole, Woods moved to 1-under, only a stroke behind the lead.

As The Daily Wire previously reported, Woods' comeback to compete in the Masters after being involved in a serious car accident is nothing short of a miracle:

Woods has not played on the PGA Tour since his February 2021 car crash which left him with horrific injuries, nearly costing him his leg, leading fans of golf to believe the end of Woods' professional career had finally arrived. Woods essentially said as much in his first interview since the crash, telling Golf Digest in November that playing on the PGA Tour full time would never happen again.

When Woods was asked during a press conference a few days ago whether he thought he could win the tournament, he responded, "I do."

Woods has won the Masters tournament five times before and ranks #2 all-time with 15 major wins, coming in behind Jack Nicklaus who has 18 wins.

Woods said in an interview late last year that would not be returning to being a full-time professional golfer on the PGA Tour and will instead selectively pick which tournaments that he wants to compete in.

"I think something that is realistic is playing the tour one day-never full time, ever again-but pick and choose, just like Mr. [Ben] Hogan did. Pick and choose a few events a year and you play around that," Woods said. "You practice around that, and you gear yourself up for that. I think that's how I'm going to have to play it from now on. It's an unfortunate reality, but it's my reality. And I understand it, and I accept it."
