Charles Albert Doggett | Eastern NC Now

    Charles Albert Doggett, 86, formerly of Brentwood Road in Raleigh, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 1, 2012, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Retta Doggett in Washington, NC.

    Graveside Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Montlawn Memorial Park.

    The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

    A native of Wake County, Charles was born November 12, 1925, the son of the late Mary Anna Hill Doggett and Irvin Eugene Doggett. He was a World War II veteran proudly serving in the United States Navy. On February 6, 1949, he married Katherine Forrest Doggett who preceded him death on December 23, 2011. Charles was retired as a mechanic with Al Smith Buick.

    Charles is survived by his daughter, Mary Doggett of Cary; sons, Gene Doggett and his wife, Retta of Washington, NC, Ray Doggett and his wife, Betty and Ricky Doggett, all of Raleigh, Jimmy Doggett of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Dawn Derner, Teri McEwen, Kevin Doggett, Amanda Johnson, Amy Doggett, Crissy Doggett and Kyle Doggett; great-grandchildren, Cameron McEwen and Haylee Johnson. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Alan Doggett and his brother, Red Doggett
