Rev. Robert Curtis Tuck, Sr. | Eastern NC Now

    The Rev. Robert Curtis Tuck, Sr., age 72, a resident of 1322 Hwy. 17 S., Washington, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at his home.

    Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith and the Rev. Russell Tuck. Burial will follow in the Wallace Family Cemetery. Rev. Tuck's grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

    Rev. Tuck was born in Halifax County, Virginia on March 21, 1940, to the late Alfred and Mabel Williams Tuck. On July 14, 1962, he married Betty Carol Eades who survives. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Bible Institute in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and for 35 years was minister of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Washington. Rev. Tuck served in the United States Army.

    Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Eades Tuck of the home; three sons and two daughters, Robert Curtis Tuck, Jr. of Washington, Robin Carol Garris and husband Jamie of Washington, Teresa Lynn Tuck of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Steven Jared Tuck and wife Brandy of Pikesville, Timothy Joel Tuck of Washington; two brothers, Charlie Rosser Tuck of Brookneal, Virginia, the Rev. Russell Tuck and wife Ladora of Moore, Oklahoma; three sisters, Peggy Coats of Nathalie, Virginia, Dale Thompson and husband David of Lynchburg, Virginia, Cecil Chandler and husband Ricky of Durham; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

    The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
