Far-Left Squad’s Jamaal Bowman Rants: ‘Civil War’ Pushed By ‘Far-Right’ If GOP Takes House | Eastern NC Now

    Far-left "Squad" Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) ranted a laundry list of hysterical accusations after being asked what would happen if the Republican Party wins back the House of Representatives in November.

    Bowman raged on MSNBC's "The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross." Cross asked, "I want you to explain, should the GOP retake Congress in the fall, what happens to the Jan. 6 Committee investigation and its findings, and what might the GOP do or not do with the newly claimed power?"

    "So the January 6 commission would cease to exist," Bowman predicted, adding conspiratorially, "the findings will be completely suppressed and will not be admitted into any further investigations while the GOP will be in power."

    "They would impeach President Biden as quickly as possible, and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward," he predicted, ignoring the fact that Biden's deep unpopularity with American voters would likely mitigate against the GOP wanting to get rid of him.

    Then Bowman went ballistic: "It would also embolden Republicans and the far-right and White nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House, and state houses across the country. And we gotta understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the Great Replacement myth and many other things and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war."

    "So that is what's at stake right now in terms of this election. Our democracy is hanging by a thread, and black and brown people - our lives are in the balance if these people come back into power," he concluded.

    In late January 2021, Bowman, who had previously urged defunding the police, reportedly asked for a special police detail to protect his home

    "About a week after the Jan. 6th incident at the Capitol, we received a request from the Congressman's office for increased police presence at his residence," Yonkers Police Department Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos told the New York Post. "In response, our Intelligence Unit was notified of the request and the local precinct instituted what is called a directed patrol at the Congressman's home for the next two weeks."

    The Daily Wire noted:

    Politopoulos reportedly said that nothing unusual had been detected in Bowman's neighborhood for years. The report noted that the day after the January 6 riot, Bowman told a radio host that he had been "safe pretty much throughout the event."

    A spokeswoman for Bowman claimed that the police were called because Bowman "received threats," although she did not elaborate on the "threats," and she reportedly avoided questions about Bowman's hypocrisy given his support for defunding the police.
