GOP flips Dem safe seat in south Texas special Congressional election | Eastern NC Now
34th district is heavily Hispanic and has never elected a Republican
Republican Mayra Flores, a Hispanic conservative, handily defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez in a special election for south Texas' 34th Congressional district to become the heavily Hispanic district's first ever Republican member of Congress. The district became vacant when the previous Democrat incumbent resigned to become a lobbyist. With almost all votes in, Flores had 51% to Sanchez' 43%.
This seat saw a massive 20 point swing. Democrats won it by 13 points in 2020 and now Republicans won it by 7 points.

What was really astounding and encouraging was electing a Hispanic Republican woman who opposes Biden's open border policies in a district that is 84% Hispanic.

One down many many more to go. Not just democrats but RINO's also. Hope no RINO's make it through primaries, but there is a pretty good chance one in PA did and he has Trumps backing.
