    Mr. William "Danny" Toler, age 71, a resident of Washington died Saturday July 2, 2022, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.

    A funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday July 5, 2022, at First Church of Christ in Washington, officiated by Ray West and Johnny Pressley. A private burial will be held at Oakdale Cemetery. Kelvin Toler, Rudy Toler, Jr., Virgil Toler, Reggie Toler, Jr., Jeff Harris, and Robert Huffman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Woolard, and Joey Griffin.

    The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church, and other times at the home

    Mr. Toler was born in Beaufort County on March 13, 1951, son of the late Robert McKinley Toler, Sr., and the late Ola "Louise" Edwards Toler. He attended Washington High School. On February 18, 1977, he married the former Gail Suggs who survives. He worked at PCS Phosphate and at his retirement on July 1, 2012, his title was General Supervisor. Mr. Toler loved vintage cars and restoring them, remodeling structures, and wood working. He was a jack of many trades and a master in them all.

    Surviving along with his wife: Gail of the home are sons: Michael Dan Toler (Karla) of Charlotte, and Christopher Keith Taylor (Megan) of Washington; brothers: Reginald Toler, Sr. (Lynn) of Washington, and Rudy Toler, Sr. of Washington; sisters: Jackie T. Carrington of Chocowinity, and Linda T. Haddock (Bobby) of Washington; and grandchildren: Mikayla Toler, McKenna Leigh Taylor, and Brayden Keith Taylor. Mr. Toler was predeceased, along with his parents by a infant son: William D. Toler, Jr.; brothers: Robert M. Toler Jr., Verlon Toler and Gennell Toler.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Beaufort County Animal Control, 3931 US-264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
