Mr. John Washington Buck, III | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. John Washington Buck, III, age 58, a resident of 7825 U.S. 264 Hwy. East, Washington, NC died Thursday November 22, 2012, at his home.

    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Buck was born in Beaufort County on July 24, 1954, son of the late John W. Buck, Jr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Galloway Buck. He attended Chocowinity High School. Mr. Buck was a plumber’s helper having worked with Hardee Company of Greenville.

    Mr. Buck is survived by a son: John W. Buck, IV and his wife Sharonda of Grimesland; a stepdaughter: Malinda Gorham and her husband Bill of Greenville; his former wife and caregiver: Linda S. Buck of Greenville; two brothers: William Buck of Blounts Creek and Wade Buck of Vanceboro; two sisters: Rita Buck of Chocowinity and Tina Hardee of Greenville; four grandchildren: Christopher Buck, Brentson Buck, Devin Gorham and Haley Gorham; three nephews and two nieces.

    The family will receive friends 7 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, c/o Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC 27889.
