Janice Faye Hardy Hodges | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Janice Faye Hardy Hodges, age 82, a resident of Washington, died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at her home.

    Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 25, 2022, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, conducted by Pastor Kevin Woolard.

    Mrs. Hodges was born in Beaufort County on December 3, 1939. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Hardy and Gladys Hodges Hardy. Mrs. Hodges babysat for many Washington children then worked at Kinney Shoes Store in Washington. Mrs. Hodges was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington and past member of the Women's Auxiliary.

    On July 2, 1958, Mrs. Hodges married Howard "Tom" Hodges, who preceded her in death,

    Mrs. Hodges is survived by three daughters, Tammy H. Hodges of Washington, Kimberly H. Losito of Chocowinity/ North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Wanda H. Hickman of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; six grandchildren, Steven Hodges (Anna Frances), Brian Hodges (Lauren), Rebecca Hodges, Ashley Hoffman (Matt), Katlin Hickman, James Hickman; four great grandchildren, Everson, Patrick, Lyla, Allie Gray; brother, Marvin Hardy of Washington; and sister in law, Brenda Hardy Hayes of Wilson.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hardy; sister, Barbara Lewis and son in law, Keith Hodges.

    The family would like to thank her caregivers: Wanda Gordon, Sandra Keech and Dee Bailey, Community Healthcare and Hospice for their compassion and care.
