Michigan Wolverines head football coach Jim Harbaugh's name started trending on Twitter on Tuesday after excerpts from his speech at a pro-life charity event surfaced.

During Harbaugh's address Sunday in Plymouth, Michigan, he spoke along with his wife, Sarah.

"In God's plan, each unborn human truly has a future filled with potential, talent, dreams and love," Harbaugh shared. "I have living proof in my family, my children, and the many thousands that I've coached that the unborn are amazing gifts from God to make this world a better place."

"To me, the right choice is to have the courage to let the unborn be born," he added. "I believe in having the courage to let the unborn be born,"

"I love life," Harbaugh continued. "I believe in having a loving care and respect for life and death. My faith and my science are what drives these beliefs in me."

During a Q & A session later, Ms. Harbaugh said the couple wasn't worried about being "canceled" due to their pro-life stance and said it would not negatively impact the football program's recruiting efforts.

"During halftime of a game, talking with the players, I say they are here because they have chosen to be here," the coach replied. "If someone believes in what they stand for, they are choosing to stand for that position, and what kind of person are you if you don't fight tooth and nail for what you stand for? You get to change hearts by fighting for what you stand for."

Sunday's event raised some $144,000 for various pro-life charities and programs in southeast Michigan, the Detroit Catholic reported.

With Roe v Wade (originated in 1973) overturned by the US Supreme Court, thereby allowing decisions on abortion legislation completely returned to the states: Where do you find your position on such a "Life and Death" issue for the American People?
Yes, I approve of the US Supreme Court's decision to reinstate this "medical" issue back to the states' legislative responsibility to regulate.
No, I believe that every woman should have complete access to abortion on demand.
This issue is far beyond my intellectual capacity to understand.
