The Beaufort County Community College Board of Trustees recently recognized Henry "Buster" Humphreys for his service in a ceremony held Tuesday, Dec. 5, on the community college campus. Humphreys served 18 years as a member of the board alongside three college presidents and served as a mentor to many members now serving on the board, according to board Chairman Russell Smith. "He's been a mentor to more than a few, including me," Smith said in recognizing Humphreys. "We're here tonight to say thank you for a job well done."

In his remarks, Humphreys thanked the members of the board, community college faculty and staff and his wife, Carol, for making his service on the board possible.
