On December 16, 2012, Daniel Leon Craig, of Yuma, Arizona, born in Gt. Barrington, Massachusetts on May 20, 1966, beloved son of Chester and Rebecca (Newell) Craig, formerly of West Copake, NY, was carried by our wonderful Savior, Jesus, into Heaven.

Surrounded by loving family and friends, Danny said goodbye to pain and suffering and is even now enjoying being with his family that has gone before him. His surviving relatives and friends are sorry that he had to leave such a void behind. He brought so much laughter and joy into all of their lives. But they know he’s home, where he has always wanted to be. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, in-laws and family friends, who all loved “Danny”, survive him.

He is also survived by his nine older brothers and sisters – Joan (Craig) Dowd, of Lake Luzerne, NY; Larry Craig, of Yuma, AZ; Chet Craig Jr. of Medway, Maine; George Craig of Thurmond, NC; Sandra Craig of Ghent, NY; Laurel Craig of Chocowinity, NC; Terri (Craig) Gilbert of Zagreb, Croatia; Linda Craig of Yuma, AZ; and Patt Craig of Yuma, AZ.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Pamlico Memorial Cemetery in Washington, North Carolina, where Danny will be laid to rest next to his parents.

Cards may be sent to Smith Funeral & Cremation Services, 605 Country Club Dr., Greenville, NC 27834.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.smithfcs.com.
