Linda Faye Waters Boyd | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Linda Faye Waters Boyd died in peace in her home Thursday, September 8, 2022.

    Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Wesley Cemetery in Chocowinity, conducted by Pastors Walter and Willie Summerlin.

    Mrs. Boyd was born in Beaufort County on November 30, 1945. She was the daughter of the late James R. Waters and Carsie Gray Alligood Waters. Mrs. Boyd was a graduate of Washington High School. She was working at an early age and her passion in her career was as a bookkeeper and office manager for Talley Implement, Moore's Honda and last but not least Smoke's Rubber Products. After 40 years, she retired.

    Mrs. Boyd loved life and all the simple things. She was an avid bird watcher and lover. Mrs. Boyd loved working in her flowers, the beach, and her cats, "Zero", "Pauline" and "Ben". Christmas was her favorite season.

    Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband of 53 years, Travis Boyd; her daughter, Angie Boyd of Washington; her #2 daughter, Alisha Gibson of Washington; and one sister, Libbie Polk of Washington.

    Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Carsie Waters; brothers, Jimmy Waters and Robert Waters; sister, Evelyn Parker Godley; and special aunt she called her 2nd sister, Jenny Waters.
