Mrs. Frances Louise Spencer Nixon | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Frances Louise Spencer Nixon, age 83, a resident of Autumnfield of Belhaven died December 30, 2012, at Autumnfield of Belhaven.

    Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be conducted by the Rev. Patricia Cox.

    Mrs. Nixon was born in Hyde County on June 19, 1929, to the late Ralph Ray Spencer and Martha Louise Blake Spencer. She was married to the late Wilford Doyle Nixon who preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Nixon was retired from Blue Channel Crab Co.

    Survivors include three sisters: Shirley Tolan and Emma Deal of Belhaven, and Aleta Bowman of Kelso, Washington and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons: Billy Ray Nixon, Steven Doyle Nixon and a sister, Maxie Spencer Cuthrell.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dublin Grove FWB Church, c/o Faye Peele, 282 Peele Rd. Aurora, NC 27806.

    The family will receive friends at the home of Peggy Groome following the graveside service.
