    Rebecca "Becky" Jenkins Boyd, 34, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

    A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rose of Sharon FWB Church, officiated by the Rev. Billy McLawhorn.

    Becky grew up in Martin County where she attended Bear Grass High School and Martin Community College School of Cosmetology. She spent her adult life in the Beaufort County area. She would help anyone she could. She had the best personality and could always make you smile.

She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melinda Jo Boyd.

    She is survived by her daughter, Somer Nicole Deaton; son, Armani Antwan Blount; father, James "Jakie" Jenkins and wife, Linda of Bear Grass; mother, Kimberly Hollis of Martin County; brothers, Eddie Ayers and wife, Heather of Oak City and Robbie Jenkins and wife Stephanie of Jacksonville; sisters, Amber Jenkins and Jackie Jenkins, both of Bear Grass; and seven nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends Sunday following the service at the home of Jakie Jenkins, 11835 Cherry Run Rd., Greenville, NC 27834.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smith Funeral & Cremation Services, 605 Country Club Dr., Greenville, NC 27834 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
