Willis Edward “Eddie” Williams Jr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Willis Edward "Eddie" Williams, Jr., age 64, a resident of Edward, NC died Saturday, September 25, 2022, at the home of his son in Hubert.

    A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the home of Bishop and Lea located in Hubert.

    Eddie was born in Beaufort County on April 5, 1958, son of the late Willis Edward "Bud" Williams, Sr., and the late Lucy Paul McHarney. He was a 1976 graduate of John S. Wilkinson High School in Belhaven. His working career was in the construction and carpet installation field. He also was known as a custom knife craftsman. As a true outdoorsman he loved deer hunting and any type of fishing.

    Survivors include a son: Bishop Williams and his wife Lea of Hubert; two sisters: Paula W. Boyd and her husband Bert of Washington and Beth W. Lowe and her husband Robert of Pinetown; grandchildren: Bennett and Henry Williams both of Hubert; nieces: Sarah L. Grant and husband Geoffrey of Greenville; Stephanie L. Griffin and her husband Mark of Greenville, and Stacey White of Washington; and a nephew: Lyn Billups and his wife Emily of Belhaven. Mr. Willis was predeceased, along with his parents by a niece: April Torres.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to Tee Cup Farms, Cancer Benefit Horse Trail Ride, 301 Maple Street, Pantego, NC 27860.
