German court orders re-run of national election in Berlin | Eastern NC Now

Irregularities make results unreliable says Constitutional Court

ENCNow

Germany's highest court has done what the US Supreme Court did not have the backbone to do with our flawed 2020 election.  As a result of election irregularities, the German Constitutional Court has ordered a re-run of the country's September 2021 national parliamentary election within the city of Berlin. The court said the re-run was necessary to preserve national confidence in the country's democracy.  The irregularities in Germany were serious, but not as serious as those in multiple US states in 2020.
