Mr. Carlos Bernard Temple | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Carlos Bernard Temple, age 70, a resident of Walt Bellamy Drive, New Bern, NC, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Carolina East Medical Center.

    A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC, officiated by the Revs. Larry and Vivian Wooten. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM.

    Carlos was born in Suffolk, VA, on September 23, 1942, son of the late Roy H. and Carrie Virginia Wright Temple. He was a heavy equipment operator with J.G. Smith. Carlos was a wonderful dad and an awesome grandfather. He never met a stranger and never judged anyone.

    He is survived by two sons, Dural D. Temple and Carlos Ray Temple and his wife, Wendy of Washington; two daughters, Theressa T. Maloney of Pine Bluff, AR and Sharon T. Flowers and her fiance, Ronnie Lewis; his fiance, Susie Byrge, all of New Bern; and 15 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Mildred "Kay" Temple.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC 27889.
