Mr. William Henry Bland | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. William Henry Bland, age 64, a resident of East Fifth St., Washington, NC, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC officiated by Pastor Greg Ramsey. The family will receive friends following the service.

    Mr. Bland was born in Pitt County on June 23, 1948, son of the late Henry and Mary Elizabeth Ross Bland. He served our country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Bland married Ada Marie Bryant on January 30, 1973. He was employed by Mason Lumber Co. for over 20 years as a security guard. He enjoyed spending time on Facebook and was an avid collector of all things.

    In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, William Matthew Bland and his wife Beth Stewart of Providence, RI; his brother, James Harvey Bland of Pinetown; and two grandchildren.
