    Please see attached for updated Flu and Covid vaccine promotion regarding our drive thru clinics.

    We conduct flu shots on Tuesdays (via drive thru) 8:30am-11:30am and then 1:00pm - 4:00pm. November 1st is our last scheduled flu shot vaccine drive thru day. No appointment is needed.

    We are also conducting covid vaccine drive thrus on Fridays, from 9:00am - 3:30pm. No appointment is required. There are 3 more scheduled to take place between today and November 18th, due to holidays.

The Beaufort County Board of Commissioners will meet in regular session on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 5:30 PM in the boardroom located at 136 W. 2nd St, Washington, NC.
The Beaufort County Board of Health has appointed JaNell Octigan to serve as the next Beaufort County Health Director. She will assume her new duties January 1st, 2023, taking over for James Madson who is retiring at the end of December.

Eight organizations across the state will now be able to increase their recovery services, supports and accessibility for individuals with substance use disorders.
The Beaufort County Jail Committee meeting that was scheduled for October 5, 2022 has been cancelled.
We have been communicating with the National Weather Service regarding the storm surge values along the Pamlico River.
Everyone is either a member of a family, or has close association with a family that is forced to shelter a pathetic character, ignobly tolerated; a family member that exists only to be a monumental embarrassment on their best days; their worst days are horror stories.
No big changes with this update. The threats of heavy rain, strong winds, coastal flooding, and isolated tornadoes have not changed. The highest impacts for both heavy rain and the tornado threat will occur today.
Our overall impacts from a prolonged period of wind, rain and elevated waters from both Ian and other weather features, HAVE NOT CHANGED. We still expect a long duration of elevated waters through multiple high tide cycles.
