June W. Midyette | Eastern NC Now

    June W. Midyette, 66, of Vanceboro and formerly of Hyde County, died late Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Vidant-Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    Born in Beaufort County, she was the daughter of the late David Pell Midyette Sr. and Herma Gibbs Midyette. She was a graduate of the West Hyde School, spent most of her working years as a seamstress with Samson Mfg. Co. and in later years worked as a nursing assistant with Hydeland Home Health. She attended Sladesville Missionary Baptist Church.

    Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sladesville Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Gary Saffell will officiate.

    Surviving are two brothers, David P. Midyette, Jr. and wife, Sallie of Sladesville and Gary E. Midyette and wife, Judy of Sladesville; two sisters, Diane M. Moore of Vanceboro and Marie M. Buck of Chocowinity.

    In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by a
sister, Carolyn Inez Midyette in 2003.

    Memorials may be directed to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown Street, Washington NC 27889.

    The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter, and other times at the home of her sister, Diane M. Moore, 1195 Chandler Road, Vanceboro.
