NY congressman who ran strong race for governor encouraged to run by GOP activists
Congressman Lee Zeldin, who made a very strong run for governor in liberal New York is considering a run for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee, a post now held by Ronna McDaniel. Zeldin has a conservative record as a congressman and ran as a conservative for governor. He is a hard charger and is being encouraged to run by GOP activists uphappy with the party's performance in the 2022 election.
