Kimberly Lynne Hodges | Eastern NC Now

    Miss Kimberly Lynne Hodges, age 36, of Washington, died Thursday, November 10, 2022, at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston.

    Kimberly was born in Beaufort County on May 19, 1986. She was the daughter of Turfie "Joe" Hodges and Kathy Sue Mayo Hodges and was fiercely loved.

    Born with Down Syndrome, Kimberly had a sweet and happy soul. Faced with many challenges throughout her short life, she was brave, tough and fought her struggles with grace and courage. She was an example of pure love that would radiate through her eyes and speak directly to your heart.

    Kimberly spent the last few years of her life as a resident of Caswell Center in Kinston. She was fortunate to have caring staff who provided her the opportunity to experience life to the fullest of her ability and potential.

    Kimberly was well-loved by those who knew her and cared for her at home and at Caswell. Kimberly will be greatly missed.

    Kimberly is survived by her parents, Joe and Kathy Hodges of Washington; two brothers, Christopher Allen Hodges with his wife, Elizabeth and Joseph Aaron Hodges II all of Washington; three nephews: Tyler Hodges, Carson Hodges, and Landon Hodges; and one niece, Taegan Hodges; maternal grandfather, Jesse Mayo Jr. and maternal grandmother, Doris Dellinger.
