Mrs. Ada Irene Leggett Waters | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Ada Irene Leggett Waters, age 76, a resident of Pinetown, NC, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Williamston, NC.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, officiated by the Rev. Ray Hyler.

    Mrs. Ada was born in Martin County on October 9, 1936, daughter of the late Henry Chester Leggett and the late Emily Lucretia Cherry Leggett. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. Mrs. Ada married Bonnie Gray Waters, Sr. on November 22, 1956, who preceded her in death on January 25, 2007. She assisted the family on the farm and was owner/operator of Waters Service Station in Pinetown.

    Survivors include a daughter: Patricia W. Peaks and her husband Wayne of Williamston; an estranged son: Bonnie G. Waters, Jr.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ada was predeceased by a sister: Emily Lucille Swain.

    The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Ada's daughter Patricia located at 1349 Price Road, Williamston, NC.
