Mrs. Marian Aldred Ferris Joyner | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Marian Aldred Ferris Joyner, age 93, died Friday, January 25, 2013, at Autumnfield Assisted Living Care in Belhaven, N.C.

    The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Paul Funeral Home Chapel in Belhaven, N.C. The Rev. Chris Noble and the Rev. Lee Hendricks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Belhaven Community Cemetery.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Christopher Leigh, Matthew Joyner, Jeff Joyner, Chuck Boyette, Rod Lancaster and Russ Lancaster.

    Mrs. Joyner was born in Londonderry, New Hampshire. She attended Manchester Central High School and Hampshire School of Business. She lived in Greenville, N.C. for 18 years then moved to Belhaven, N.C. in 1963. Mrs. Joyner worked in the office of Dr. Charles O. Boyette for 23 years before retiring.

    Mrs. Joyner is preceded in death by husbands, Melvin H. Ferris and James W. Joyner and daughters, Judith F. Tisserand and Corrine J. Lancaster.

    She is survived by two children, Lane H. Ferris of Rougemont, N.C. and Linda P. Ferris of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Rod Lancaster and wife, Kim, Russ Lancaster and wife, Anna, Johanna Candler, Gretchen Green, Virginia L. Braun and husband, Aaron, and Christopher Leigh. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
