Golden Globe Nominees Announced: ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ Leads With 8 Nominations | Eastern North Carolina Now

    The Golden Globes, whose ratings crashed 64% in 2021, then had its 2022 event canceled following an investigation by The Los Angeles Times accusing the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which hosts the awards, of ethical failures, announced their 2022 nominees for film and television for their event on January 10.

    Only 6.9 million people watched the 2021 Golden Globes, co-hosted by the woke Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the Associated Press reported. The previous year's show, hosted by Ricky Gervais, garnered 18.4 million viewers.

    "Many of us - in a truly collective effort - held the organization accountable, and many of us are encouraged by the strides and commitment that have resulted," Kelly Bush Novak, the chief executive of publicity and marketing firm ID told The New York Times.

    "The Banshees of Inisherin" got the most nominations among films, eight; "Everything Everywhere all at Once" finished second with six nominations.
