Trump, GOP Senators blast "Old Crow" McConnell on omnibus sellout to Dems | Eastern NC Now

Trump calls it "ominous omnibus"

ENCNow

President Trump blasted "Old Crow" Mitch McConnell for his "ominous omnibus" that obliterated the new House Republican majority's power of the purse for  its first year in office.  Trump and House Republicans wanted a short term continuing resolution to be able to cut some of the bad policies and inflationary big spending from the Democrat omnibus that McConnell helped Biden and Pelosi pass.  Trump's comments were posted on Truth Social.  "If the Old Crow had waited just 10 days, the Republican majority in the House could have made the 'Ominous' Bill MUCH, MUCH, MUCH BETTER. Just another win for the Democrats, Mitch"

Two Republican Senators, Mike Lee of Utah and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin also appeared on a televised talk show echoing President Trump's comments.  "Our leadership turned on Republican voters, turned on the Republican base, turned on most Republican Senators," Senator Lee declared, "It has happened before, but this is one too many times. For me it is the final straw."

Mitch McConnell served the Democrats interests under Obama and now is doing so repeatedly under Biden. "China Mitch" makes Benedict Arnold seem loyal in comparison.
