Mr. Kenneth Earl Pollard, Sr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Kenneth Earl Pollard, Sr., age 57, a resident of 1206 Sticks Road, Washington, NC died Wednesday morning February 6, 2013 as a result of an automobile accident.

    A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Jordan Cemetery in Pinetown officiated by Pastor Marc Swanner and Pastor Austin Pendergraft. Kenny Miller, Chris Pollard, Woody Taylor, Kenneth Pollard, Richard Pollard and John Gettys, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

    Youth honorary pallbearers will be Bradley and Josette Taylor.
Mr. Pollard was born in Richmond, VA on May 4, 1955 son of the late James Earl Pollard and Lelia Spicer Pollard. On March 4, 1972, he married the former Marie Ball, who survives. He was employed as a supervisor of the hog farm operation owned by Gary Respess until he became disabled. Mr. Pollard loved to fish with his son, play pool with his daughter and go to the race track in Robersonville.

    In addition to his wife, Marie of the home, he is survived by his children: Kenneth Earl Pollard, Jr. of Washington, Christopher Wayne Pollard and wife Jean of Farmville and Lisa Taylor and husband Woody of Washington; his grandchildren: Bradley Taylor, Josette Taylor, Eli Taylor, Cristina Pollard, Addison Pollard, Kenneth Pollard, Austin Pollard and Justin Pollard; his sister: Elizabeth Pollard of Princeton and his brothers: Richard Pollard of Princeton and John Gettys, Jr. of Blounts Creek.

    The family will receive friends 4:00-6:30 PM on Friday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his daughter, Lisa Taylor located at 1190 Sticks Road, Washington.
