Beaufort County GOP censures RINO Senator Thom Tillis | Eastern NC Now

joins other counties around the state censuring Tillis over liberal record

ENCNow

The Beaufort County Republican Executive Committee has adopted a resolution censuring RINO Senator Thom Tillis for his liberal voting record and rampant failure to follow the national and state Republican platforms.  The Beaufort County Republican Party follows many others around the state that have passed similar resolutions, led by Graham County and Granville County.  The resolutions call for the state Republican Party to adopt a similar resoution of censure on Tillis.

The Third Congressional District Republican Party, of which Beaufort County is a part, is scheduled to vote on a similar resolution next month and it is also expected to be brought before the Republican State Executive Committee's next meeting.

Tillis has taken a number of positions contrary to Republican platforms on issues such as homosexual marriage and illegal immigration.  Tillis worked with Democrats on a key procedural move to get the $1.7 Trillion "ominbus" big spending bill passed, then tried to cover his tracks on the final vote on the bill by voting against it, as they no longer needed his vote.
