House Judiciary Committee under Jim Jordan opens investigation

ENCNow

So far at least twenty classified documents, some marked top secret and dealing with issues including Ukraine, Iran, and the UK, that were retained by Joe Biden from the Obama administration have been recovered from three locations.  They were discovered in a box in Biden garage beside his Corvette, in a private office in Biden's residence, and in the closet of Biden's personal office at a foundation he headed.  A large part of the financing of that foundation, $54 million, came from Red Chinese sources, giving them possible access.

The first trove of documents was found prior to the 2022 midterm elections, from federal officials sat on the discovery rather than releasing the information, quite a contrast with the made for TV politically timed heavy duty raid on Mar-a-Lago against Trump.  The coverup by the FBI and DOJ is an issue.

Now House Judiciary Committee Chairman Congressman Jim Jordan has announced that his committee will be opening an investigation not just about the documents and BIden's possession of them, but also about the coverup past the election by the FBI and DOJ.

The big difference between Trump retaining classified documents and Biden as vice president doing so is that a president always has the power to declassify anything and can do so by any method he chooses, but a vice president, which is what Biden was when he retained the documents had no power to declassify anything.
