Natural gas has nothing to do with it. As Duke Energy clearly said, their double digit rate increase is due to using solar and wind, which are more expensive and require a lot more infrastructure changes. They are also intermittant sources that must be backed up when they are not producing with power bought at expensive prices on the spot market.

We should all remember that it was globalist RINO Sen. Jim Perry of Kinston, who pushed hard for this globalist wind and solar mess. Perry was pushing the energy policy of Biden and working against the energy policy of Trump. Now electric customers are starting to pay the price for what Perry and others did to us. Perry and his bunch can all get stuffed.
