NY Father Whose Son Was Beaten For Being Jewish Rips Into Schumer, Nadler

The father of a young Jewish man who was savagely beaten in broad daylight in Times Square ripped into two New York Democrat leaders, Senator Chuck Schumer and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, for not responding when he reached out after the attack.
Barry Borgen, whose son Joey was wearing a yarmulke when he was allegedly beaten up by Waseem Awawdeh, Mahmoud Musa, Faisal Elezzi, and Mohammed Othman, addressed Nadler when he spoke on Monday at the House Judiciary Committee's hearing regarding victims of violent crime in Manhattan.
"Mr. Nadler, you're a Jewish New Yorker," Borgen stated. "I called your office numerous times. I called Mr. Schumer's office, another Jewish New Yorker, numerous times. No one called us back."
"You're a Jewish New Yorker," he continued. "You have Jewish roots here. Behavior like this enables DA [Alvin] Bragg to just do whatever he wants to do. If you guys would have come out with a statement from Washington and said that we condemn the beating of Mr. Borgen's son, we condemn this act, maybe Mr. Bragg would have taken this case a little more seriously."
"And I call you out on it," he said. "Most of my friends are so disheartened with you and Mr. Schumer you don't understand. We wouldn't vote for Mr. Schumer again ... And if I lived in Manhattan I wouldn't vote for you either. "
Joey Borgen recalled that his attackers called him a "dirty Jew" and yelled, "F*** Israel, Hamas is going to kill all of you."
Bragg offered a six-month plea bargain to Awawdeh, who allegedly told a jailer after the attack, "If I could do it again, I would do it again. I have no problem doing it again."
"It's disgusting how Mr. Bragg calls himself a crime fighter, the man does nothing," Barry Borgen said. "He offered people who tried to kill my son six months in jail, one guy to walk away because maybe he hit him once. It is a hate crime."
"[The light sentence] shows that it's open season on anybody, be it an Asian, an African-American, Jewish, Muslim," Barry Borgen continued. "It's basically open season. If you can't prosecute, put people away for a hate crime, I don't know what else is there besides murder, God forbid. It's just disgusting, it's not right."
"I feel like I have a target on my back sometimes, but it's getting better and better," Joey Borgen, who sustained a concussion from the attack, said. "Hopefully the DA does their job and brings accountability and justice to everyone who deserves it."

Christian do not "hate" people because they are sinners. The concept is "hate the sin, but love the sinner". Christiams wamt tp help simmers reform their ways. The groups you mention, Little Bobbie, are political groups, not religious groups. That is just another of your constant ditortions.

Good lord , stop clutching your pearls. Most Christians are good people but there are extremists in the Christian faith who openly express hate and violence towards gays and many others. Oath keeps, proud boys, Arian Nations, 3%ers...hell Congress woman Madge Green and her buddy Boober from Colorado. Why are you so shocked? As a general rule, I think Christians are more enlighten and forgiving.

To make an absurd charge like that you really are an anti-Christian bigot, Bigot Bob. I have never known anyone who had any animosity toward the Jewish religion, and I have lived my entire life in the South. Heck, that was even true in antebellum times. The first person of the Jewish faith to serve in a national cabinet position was Judah P. Benja;min of Louisiana, who served succesively as Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Secretary of War in the cabinet of Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

Conservative Christians are no different. The only reason it doesn't happen here is that most US citizens are not that conservative tor that Christian. Moderateds out number the extremes on both sides.

Muslim illegal aliens have been a problem in attacking Jewish people and homosexuals whereever they have entered western sociities in large numbers, and that is a good reason to reject therm.

Anyone who attacks another because of their religion should not be allowed to be in the USA. They need to be deported after they serve their prison sentence.
