NEW YORK, NY     Unbelievable! You have to check out this list of 1 MAJOR NEWS SITE that went out of business this week! You have to read it to believe it!

In a major blow to online news, struggling site Buzzfeed News will shut down, the company announced this week. WHAAAAAAAT?!

In a memo to staffers, BuzzFeed CEO John Peretti expressed regret that the former bastion of totally reliable news could not continue its relentless, straight-faced charade of professional journalism any longer.

Buzzfeed News is best known for its laugh-out-loud "Steel Dossier" comedy series which brilliantly satirized investigative journalism, election campaigns, and the political elite. Humor experts worry the loss of such a comedy gem will leave a hole that may never be filled.

"As sad as we are to hear Buzzfeed News is closing its doors, this may just be our saving grace," said Chief Serious Journalism Officer for CNN, Rube Jeffberg. "We're hoping their dozens of viewers migrate over to CNN to check out our great content!"

Peretti clarified that the now-defunct site's top-performing staffers would have a chance to work under sister site Huffpost, a satire publication most well known for its portrayal of a magical world unencumbered by critical thought and rationale.

At publishing time, Huffpost had announced mass layoffs.
