nonpartisan CBO scores Republican compromise debt ceiling increase plan

ENCNow

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has reviewed the Republican compromise proposal to increase the debt limit and has scored it as reducing the federal deficit by $4.8 Trillioin based on the spending cuts it contains.  Biden has refused to even talk compromise and has arrogantly demanded all or nothing.  Speaker McCarthy has made numerous efforts to enter negotiation, and will probably put the plan up for a vote as it is if Biden keeps stonewalling.
