3 charged criminally in France for flipping the bird to Macron | Eastern North Carolina Now

France is in an uproar over President Macron decreeing an increase in the retirement age without a vote of parliament, with mass demonstrations and riots.  While this behavior is that of a dictator itself, Macron's response do those who dare object to him is even more brazen.

The latest comes on Macron's first trip outside of Paris since the pushback against his retirement action began.  In a small town in Alsace, three French citizens were arrested for flipping the bird at Macron.  None have any prior criminal record.  The three are now facing a possible year in jail and a 15,000 euro fine for disrespecting Macron.

This comes on the tail of a French woman with no prior criminal history and not a political activist being arrested for posting on social media that Macron is "a piece of filth".  When the police came to her door to arrest her, she said "this has to be a joke".  It wasn't.

Shortely before that there were arrests for "hate speech" that indicated a complete disrespect for free speech.  One involved a French Senator, who posted on social media "Immigration kills" after an illegal alien brutally murdered a young French girl.  The other involved two feminist leaders who posted about the need to defend women's privacy by keeping biological males out of  woemn's restrooms and locker rooms.

Free speech is dying, if not already dead in France, and the left is pushing the same anti-free speech poison here in the US.  Macron seems to have become Petain 2.0.
