The Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners Will Meet to Discuss the County's Business

The Government of Beaufort County meets every month for at least one General Meeting to discuss and act on the county's business. Beaufort County employs the County Manager Form of Government, which stipulates that the board of county commissioners allow the county manager to set the agenda, and bring issues before them.

The high point of this meeting may be the consideration of a Joint Resolution between the Board of Education and the Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners that will effect the the continued relationship between the tow governing bodies and how it may effect the interlocal agreement as to their continued funding allotments.

I shall endeavor to reiterate, as is my practice, that these General Meetings are the most important component in the ongoing governing of Beaufort County. They are administered in the full purview of the public, as dictated by North Carolina's Open Meetings Law, and we are wise to video-graph these meetings as public record. You are invited to attend these meetings as your time and our space constraints permit. You are always welcome to watch the broadcast of these meeting on all cable television public access channels, or borrow the DVD from any local library.

Without further discussion, we provide the Agenda here below:
