Texas Governor Abbot has signed legislation into law to protect children in the state from child genital mutilation surgery and use of powerful drugs such as chemical castration agents for "gender reassignment".  Doctors who violate the law will lose their medical licenses.  Texas has become the 17th state to adopt these child protection laws this year.
