Wilma Godley Morgan | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Wilma Godley Morgan of Bath died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was 77.

    She is united in heaven with be beloved husband, James Morgan, Sr. They were married for more than 54 years.

    Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son, Jamie Morgan; daughter, Tina Allen; son in law, Dennis Allen and three grandchildren, Tucker Cole and Abigail Ryan "Abby" Mooring and Summer Allen Wells; and sister, Betty Godley Carrow and husband, Snody. She is also survived by many other friends and family, including her lifelong best friend, Betsy Campbell of Yeatesville, and a special thank you to caregivers Maddie Mazie, Teresa Braddy and Alexis Satchel.

    In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert Archie Godley and Frances Andrews Godley and siblings, Patsy Godley Garner and husband, Robert and Rupert Moye Godley and wife, Judy.

    Known for her quick wit and love of life, she will be remembered by the whole community. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
