Michigan House passes bill to criminalize hurting someone's feelings | Eastern NC Now

huge attack of free speech and First Amendment

ENCNow

A bill that is a frontal attack on the First Amendment and free speech has passed the State House on party line Democrat support in Michigan.  It would criminalize huring someone else's feeling, resulting in jail time or re-education sessions.  Violation could be a misdemeanor or felony.

This bill is a direct attack on the First Amendment to the US Constitution and to the line of cases that have been decided under it.

As George Orwell wrote, "Freedom of speech is your right to say something I don't want to hear."
