Charlie Franklin Foster | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Charlie Franklin Foster, age 85, a resident of Pamlico Beach, died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Autumnfield of Belhaven.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 21, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven.

    Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Ryder Hill Cemetery at Pamlico Beach, conducted by David Mason and Steve Hill.

    Mr. Foster was born in Beaufort County on December 31, 1937. He was the son of the late David Sampson Foster and Ruth Esther Wilkins Foster. Mr. Foster was a Tugboat Captain for 45 years for several companies.

    Mr. Foster is survived by two daughters, Frances Annette Foster Swindell (Ronnie) of Scranton, N.C., Belinda Kay Foster of Pawley's Island, S.C.; son, Daniel Kirk-Foster of New York City, N.Y.; grandchildren, Alison Swindell Owens (Dean) of Pittsboro, N.C., Ronald Douglas Swindell, Jr. (Stacy) of Grimesland, N.C.; great grandchildren, Charlotte Owens, Ivy Owens, Haven Swindell, Hope Swindell, Valley Swindell, Maren Swindell; sisters, Rennie Killingsworth (Pete) of New Bern, N.C., Elaina Dee Foster (Silas) of Chesapeake, VA; and brother, Ernest Floyd Foster of Belhaven, N.C.

    In addition to His parents, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Sadie Prue, Nora Braddy, Hilton Foster, Sr., Celeste Brand, June Prue, and Betty Kirk.

    The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Ridgewood, Autumnfield and Gentiva Hospice in their care of our loved one.
